Relaxed
I feel pretty relaxed at the moment.I finally get a slight break. I have a lot of studying to do, but this four day off of work and school is NICE.Although I'm feeling pretty calm right now, I'll take this time to complain about what an annoying person my mom can be anyhow... I eat my parent's free food every day on my lunch break. Today I get there, and my dad is home, which is strange, because he works all the time. I asked him why he was home, and he told me it was a vacation day. My parents were originally going to go camping, but the campground burned down in our recent California fires, so he was home instead. Then my mom chimed in that he was "supposed to be cleaning the garage!" I asked her, "Dude, you gave him chores on his day off?!?" She tried to explain to me that "they" (meaning "her", I checked with my Dad) decided that since they weren't going camping my Dad was going to clean out the garage. My dad is a 61 year old man who is overweight and has to troubleshoot broken elevators when the repairmen can't find hte problem. This means that my dad had to climb stairs all day carrying an absurdly heavy toolbox, and my Mom is so hyperactive, that she is basically trying to get him to do chores every weekend, and every chance she can get. My mom works from home. She teaches classes for how to make porcelain dolls twice a week. She has to pour the porcelain into the molds (prepare the basic elements) and fire the porcelain in the kiln in between classes, but that's pretty much it. Yet she is somehow under the false impression that she works as hard as my Dad. She never relaxes, and if you are ever around her, it is bitch bitch, nag, nag, all day long. No one ever wants to be around her, and I tend to feel quite sorry for my Dad since he is an incredibly mellow guy. I love my Mom, but damn! Sometimes it's just too much. I suppose I should just be happy that my parents are still together.
